Switch off week

Hundreds of staff and students pledged their support and saved energy during the University’s second Switch Off Week. Held from 10 – 16 November, the week highlighted the role of the individual in reducing the University’s £16 million energy bill.

The results for the first four days of Switch Off Week are in, which compare the electricity used on Monday to Thursday this week with the same days last week.

The results for the first three days of Switch Off Week are in, which compare the electricity used on Monday 10, Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 November with Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday last week.

Events-wise, the Tuesday of Switch Off Week saw the Environment and Energy team continue with the successes of its Monday launch.

Results show overall drop in energy consumption across the University.

Today marks the beginning of Switch Off Week and the annual UAS competition.
