On 16 October from 12pm, the University’s Green Impact launch event will welcome all staff and students interested in working together to improve the environmental performance of their places of work and study. Last year a record 42 departments and colleges received award recognition for their contributions to the University’s goal of ‘outstanding sustainability performance’. The event is being held at Storey's Field Centre, a brand new Cambridge building which has recently won high profile architectural and sustainability prizes. The venue is just a few seconds' walk from the Universal bus stop on Eddington Avenue, and free travel on is being offered to staff and students attending the launch.
