A congregation for the election of the Proctors and their Deputies will take place on Saturday, 1 October. After the Statutory Business has been done and the University Constables have been sworn in for the year, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr Anthony Freeling, will deliver an address to the University. There will be no reception afterwards as the Combination Room is closed at present for repair-work.
All members of the University community and their personal guests are welcome. Tickets will not be issued. Please be seated by 9.45am. Matriculated members of the University attending should wear gowns (black gowns) and hoods are not required. Square caps, if worn, should be removed inside the Senate-House.
