For staff

University employees and students speak about their experiences - and challenges - of working from home during the coronavirus outbreak.

Many staff across the University are currently working from home, while some employees are still travelling into University buildings for essential work that can only be conducted on site. Two videos made of the senior leadership team and academics talking about their experiences of remote working were shared in the Vice-Chancellor's messages to staff and students. After positive feedback, further videos have been produced to showcase more staff and student experiences during this challenging time.

The video below features the following employees and students:

  • Jake Moscrop, Department of Plant Sciences
  • Harriet Bartlett, Conservation Science Group
  • Shu Ling Wong, Faculty of Education
  • Dr Matt Davey, Department of Plant Sciences
  • Andy Catton, University Security Control Centre
  • Shelley Bolderson, Masters in Conservation Leadership (pictured above)

The most recent short film sees contributions from the following members of staff:

  • Dr James Biddulph, Headteacher at the University of Cambridge Primary School
  • Julie Dawson, Head of Conservation at the Fitzwilliam Museum
  • Heather Stallard, Programme Administrator for LGBTQ+@Cam
  • Sally Petitt, Head of Horticulture at the Botanic Garden
  • Dr Lucinda Spokes, Head of Public Engagement
