For staff

A series of roadshows have been launched for staff who are members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme.

There will be a series of roadshows in the coming weeks to help staff who are members of USS understand the current pensions landscape and ongoing discussions relating to possible changes to the structure and benefits of the scheme.
Staff can read a series of briefing documents relating to the proposed changes here. They can also read a report of a Discussion in the Senate House on 28 October on this subject in a recent edition of The Reporter.
The roadshows, which will be run by Xafinity, a firm of benefit advisers and the University's corporate actuarial adviser, will:
• explain the wider pensions landscape
• explain the differences between public sector and private sector pension provision
• look at recent changes to legislation affecting pensions
• explain the background to the UUK proposals
• explain the consultation process
• illustrate how the proposals would affect USS benefits.
Times and venues for roadshows are provided below. The sessions in Coventry are aimed at Cambridge Assessment and OCR employees who are based in the city. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions during and after the presentations.
If you would like to attend any of the roadshows please register via the Further Links section, above right.
