A potential proposal for reform of USS has been developed by employer and employee representatives.
A potential joint proposal for reform of the Universities Superannuation Scheme has been developed by Universities UK and University and College Union negotiators.
The University and College Union will put the joint proposal to a consultative ballot of their members in pre-92 institutions ahead of the next meeting of the Joint Negotiating Committee on 29 January, 2015.
The proposed reform package is subject to both employer and employee support at the Joint Negotiating Committee meeting.
