For staff

Bookings for this year’s Cambridge Science Festival open on Monday 10 February at 11am.

The Science Festival gives the public the opportunity to explore Cambridge Science.

The theme for the festival this year is ‘vision’. The University is set to host 390 events between 9 and 22 March at venues across the city. Some of the world’s greatest scientists, alongside the stars of the future, examine how science is changing our world. Subjects include climate change,  health and new technological advances; lectures and debates will be delivered alongside fun science quiz events, comedy and theatre.

Looking for ways to entertain the kids and show them where you work? Both weekends are focused on family activities, including talks on the fastest animals on earth, and weird, mind-fizzingly awesome and funny science facts; hands-on demonstrations with Microsoft HoloLens and with cutting-edge biomedical science at the Vet School. Visitors can discover what it takes to be a Polar explorer, study the skies through telescopes, see developments in medical implants, discover why robots are not going to take over the world, immerse themselves in Virtual Reality, and much more.

Full details of all events and activities are available on the Science Festival webpages.
