The University's Digital Communications Team, part of the Office of External Affairs and Communications have been awarded the title Communications Team of the Year.

The Office of External Affairs and Communications' Digital Communications Team won the Communications team of the year award at the Digital Communications Awards on Friday 29 September 2017 at a ceremony in Berlin.

The team were represented at Quadriga University, where the judging took place, by Barney Brown, Head of Digital Communications, who impressed on the jury the team's efforts to change public perceptions of the University through digital and social media. Barney emphasised the work that has been done to engage with students more, and the tremendous efforts that have been made throughout the team and beyond, to work with all of the University's communities to be authentic, and relevant for all of the University's audiences.

The Digital Communications Team provides guidance and support for those in Collegiate Cambridge interested in using email, social media or web channels to communicate their work. They also look after and develop the University's presence on all of the major social media channels, regularly produce films on behalf of the institution, and maintain the University's main website.

The Digital Communication Awards honour outstanding projects, campaigns and innovations in the field of online communications. Hosted by the Quadriga University of Applied Sciences since 2011, the awards honour industry-leading online PR and communications from across Europe.
