For staff

An exhibition that aims to inspire social change through art will be hosted by Pembroke next week.

Curated by Cinthia Willaman, a Cambridge PhD student in Art History, and part of an ongoing project by artist Gyunel Rustamova, the free exhibition will feature pieces that reflect on topics of social importance - such as climate change, domestic violence, animal welfare and the current European Refugee Crisis.

Visitors will be invited to choose a charity, inspired by the artwork they have seen, to receive a donation from the event’s organisers. They will also be invited to make a pledge of their own – to change their attitude, actions, or thinking in relation to their chosen cause.

‘Art as a Medium for ACTION’ takes place at Chris Adams House, Pembroke, from Tuesday 13 September – Saturday 17 September, 1pm-7pm.

Further information can be found on the Pembroke website.
