An outline of the search process and how to contribute your views

An Advisory Committee is leading the search for the next Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the Council. This committee is aiming to identify three or four individuals who will be invited for interview by the Council in September 2022. Following those interviews, the Council will propose to the Regent House an individual for appointment as Vice-Chancellor.

The committee is currently gathering views from the collegiate Cambridge community about what priorities and attributes are important in potential candidates for the role. There are two principal ways to contribute. A series of three online town hall-style meetings on 31 January, 1 February and 3 February will give participants an opportunity to hear from Anthony Freeling and Pippa Rogerson, co-chairs of the Advisory Committee, to express their views and to ask questions. The committee is also running a online survey from 31 January to 9 February to gauge opinion on some suggested attributes and priorities for the next Vice-Chancellor.

Details of how to access the meetings have been sent to staff by email. The survey link will be circulated by email and in The Reporter in the week commencing Monday 31 January.
