For staff

Members of the local community have been invited to have their say on plans to build a new global research and development centre and corporate headquarters on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

A public planning consultation is being held for AstraZeneca’s plans to build a new global research and development centre and corporate headquarters on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Members of the local community are invited to attend a consultation exhibition which will be held at Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge, from 3.30pm to 8.30pm on Friday, 18 July, and 10am to 2.30pm on Saturday, 19 July.
The company says the aim for the new site is to create an open and scientific centre for AstraZeneca and contribute to the strength of the Cambridge science community.
This public consultation exhibition will give the local community a chance to look at the plans, ask questions and share their opinions with the team involved in the design, planning and building of the new site. AstraZeneca will be submitting the detailed planning application in Autumn 2014.

The exhibition will cover detailed plans for the site including:

  • The architecture and landscaping design
  • Transport and connectivity
  • Achieving a sustainable presence
  • Further information on AstraZeneca and the biopharmaceutical research and development to take place at the site
