For staff

The University will launch a new HR and payroll system called myHR in the summer of 2024.

myHR will make it easier for staff to access, update and analyse HR and payroll information.

Professor Kamal Munir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for University Community and Engagement

myHR is a key part of the University's HR Transformation Programme (Processes and Systems), which aims to modernise our HR capabilities by improving, harmonising, and simplifying HR administrative processes to create a more cohesive and efficient workplace.

The new system will give every employee direct access to view and update their own personal and employment information, enabling them to carry out a range of HR-related tasks in a more efficient and consistent way, instead of using paper-based processes. It will allow staff with management responsibility direct access to information required to support their team.

For those who carry out HR-related activities across departments, myHR will replace inefficient paper-based transactions, enabling staff to focus their efforts on where they add most value, leading to an improved overall employee experience.

Kamal Munir, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for University Community and Engagement said: "myHR will make it easier for staff to access, update and analyse HR and payroll information. It will allow us to better support our staff across all areas, help our colleagues in planning their careers, and above all, bring the University closer together as we work within a more consistent framework.”

HR Transformation Programme Advocates Network

The HR Transformation Programme is building a network of employees across all staff groups, areas and levels to support the delivery of myHR. If you, or someone in your team, is interested in joining the network, please register your interest or contact the HRTP Implementation Co-ordinator for your area.
