Géraldine Dufour is the new Head of the University Counselling Service for students, joining from Birmingham City University.

As a member of the executive of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy University and College Division, and the Chair of the Executive Committee of Heads of University Counselling Services, Géraldine has a deep understanding of the issues affecting student mental health.
She has been a clinician for 16 years, working with students, sexual assault survivors, young adults and as an addiction counsellor. She said: “I am especially interested in the welfare of international students, the extra pressure they face and the impact this can have on their mental health.
