For staff

A Director has been appointed to head the University’s newly formed Information Services division.

Martin Bellamy, who will join the University in March, is currently Director of Change and ICT for the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).
NOMS is an agency of the Ministry of Justice, formed in 2005, which operates the prison and probation services in England and Wales.
His role there is to ensure that the information systems design underpins NOMS business needs.
Immediately before joining NOMS Martin worked at the Cabinet Office as Programme Director for the G Cloud.
Previously Martin has worked for the NHS, the Department for Work and Pensions, Ashridge, KPMG, Reuters and BT.
Speaking of his appointment he said: “I am very much looking forward to joining Cambridge and believe that setting up the new University Information Services organisation presents a unique opportunity to build a strong unified team and to deliver excellent user-led services to the various Cambridge communities.
“It is particularly interesting to see the emphasis the Information Services Review has placed on innovation, not least in providing services to help underpin Cambridge’s position as one of the world’s top research-led universities.”
