Jenny Blakesley has been appointed to the new role of Deputy Head of Education Services (Education and Student Outcomes).

Education Services is the professional services division that provides support for the University's educational provision and for many aspects of students' contact with the University, from application to welfare, exams, graduation, and beyond.

Jenny’s appointment completes the restructure of the division into four sub-departments, with Education and Student Outcomes sitting alongside the departments of Admissions and Access, Student Administration and Student Support.

The Education and Student Outcomes section comprises the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning (CCTL), the Careers Service, the Blended Learning Service (BLS), Education and Student Policy (EQPO) and the Postgraduate Research Office (PGRO). As Head of Education and Student Outcomes, a key priority for Jenny will be to work with her colleagues to develop and deliver a strategy pulling together equality, diversity and inclusion; academic, life and employability skills; and support for teaching, learning and assessment.

Jenny is currently Director of the University’s Careers Service, and will take up her new role on 1 February 2024.
