For staff

The next UAS open meeting for University administrative staff will be on Wednesday, 23 November.

The first half of the meeting - which takes place at 3.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1 of the Gates Building - will be given over to a presentation by the Registrary on issues affecting the higher education sector, the University and the UAS. There will then be a panel discussion on how Brexit and the Higher Education and Research Bill will affect the University.

Members of the panel will include Professor Dame Athene Donald, Master of Churchill; Dr Rob Wallach, Director of Postdoctoral Affairs; Mrs Alice Benton, Head of Educational and Student Policy; and Mr Stephen Davison, Head of Public Affairs in the Office of External Affairs and Communications.

The discussion will be facilitated by Paul Mylrea, the University’s Director of Communications, and there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.

A summary of the previous open meeting, which took place in June, is available in the staff news section. The meeting included a presentation by Professor Graham Virgo, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, on developments in teaching and learning at the University.
