For staff

More University staff members eligible to live at Eddington as new homes become available.

Eddington (North West Cambridge Development) is now open to the community and is currently home to approximately 200 staff members alongside over 300 post-graduate students. Additional subsidised properties have now been completed and are ready to move into. All staff are encouraged to apply, as there are many properties becoming available.

The University homes are available to rent to employees of the University, Colleges or Affiliated Institutions (including Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press), subject to certain eligibility criteria. Recent changes to these criteria will mean that more people will be eligible to apply to live at Eddington, so if you were not eligible before you are encouraged to look again.

For further information and to make an application, please see the Eddington information page on the University Accommodation Service website.

Eddington is the new district situated between Huntingdon Road and Madingley Road and is a purpose-built new neighbourhood for the University and wider community. It has a primary school, state-of-the-art community and performing arts centre, Sainsbury’s supermarket, parkland and sporting facilities in addition to housing available on the open market for sale.
