A recording of the meeting is now available

The Greater Cambridge Partership (GCP) held an open meeting for University staff and students on 10th November as part of a consultation on its City Access proposals. The GCP is proposing a new bus network for the city, alongside improvements to cycling and walking routes, with revenue to be generated through the proposed introduction of a new road charging scheme.

All staff were invited to attend the meeting, and a recording is also now available.

Rachel Stopard, Chief Executive Officer, and Peter Blake, Transport Director, at Cambridge Greater Partnership gave an overview of the proposals before answering audience-submitted questions. Topics covered in the meeting included congestion in Cambridge, fee discounts and exemptions, and improvements to transport links in the region.

The consultation is open until 23rd December and all staff are encouraged to share their views on the proposals.
