Pilkington Prizes 2020 for excellence in teaching

Three winners of this year's Pilkington Prizes for excellence in teaching - Dr Charlotte Summers (Clinical School, Selwyn College), Dr John Taylor (DAMTP, St John's College) and Dr Harriet Allen (Geography, Girton College) - and their students, have contributed to a short film to celebrate teaching in Cambridge. The film includes reflections on what has made their teaching extraordinary, and how teaching at Cambridge has adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do so next academic year.

Dr Sam Lucy, Director of Admissions for the Cambridge Colleges, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Stephen J Toope, and the Senior Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Professor Graham Virgo, all contributed to the film, looking forward to welcoming students back to Cambridge next academic year, offering their thanks to all staff who have worked hard to support students over the past year, and congratulations to all 12 Prize Winners.

For obvious reasons, the planned celebration can't go ahead this summer, but the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning hopes to have a double celebration in 2021.
