NERC International and Overall Impact Prizes

Professor John Pyle, Dr Neil Harris and colleagues in the Department of Chemistry have won the NERC International Impact Award and the Overall Impact Award for their work on the effect of man-made gases on the ozone layer.

The awards reflect their research efforts, their scientific leadership of research projects, and their roles in the Montreal Protocol process leading to globally agreed limits on ozone-depleting substances.
