The University’s central offices work in partnership with Schools, Faculties and Departments, providing core professional and administrative services in support of Cambridge’s academic and charitable mission. They also offer a range of expertise and skills that help support the development and implementation of policy across a number of functional areas.
Cambridge’s central administration has evolved over a number of years. Today, it principally consists of the Unified Administrative Service, which comprises the Academic Division, Estate Management Division, Finance Division, the Health Safety and Regulated Services Division, and the Registrary’s Office. The UAS is led by the Registrary, Emma Rampton. Other important central offices include Development and Alumni Relations, the Office of External Affairs and Communications, University Information Services, and the Legal Services Office.
