The House of Commons Select Committee on Exiting the EU is visiting Cambridge this week to hear from the University and other research organisations and businesses based in the city.

The House of Commons Select Committee on Exiting the EU is visiting Cambridge tomorrow to hear from the University of Cambridge, as well as AstraZeneca, Cancer Research UK and Deimos UK. The Committee is visiting all the regions of the UK to hear views on the implications of the UK leaving the EU.

In its Cambridge session, taking place this Thursday, the Committee will focus on the implications of Brexit for the research and science sectors, such as the UK's continued involvement in EU-wide agencies and collaborative projects, access to research funding post-Brexit, and changes to the general regulatory environment.

The session will be public and all members of the public, including all Cambridge University staff and students, are welcome to attend.

Time: 10.00am – 11.30am
Location: Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, Lecture Theatre, Li Ka Shing Centre, Robinson Way, Cambridge CB2 0RE

Spaces in the lecture theatre are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.   • Michael Lawrence, Business Development Director, Deimos UK
  • Eilis Ferran, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Institutional and International Relations, University of Cambridge

Please note that questions to the witnesses can only come from the Committee – there will be no opportunity for participation from the audience.
