Nominations are now open for the Professional Services Recognition Scheme which this year replaces the UAS Employee Recognition Scheme.
The Professional Services Recognition Scheme aims to highlight and celebrate the very best administrative work across the University. The scheme is open to all administrative staff across the University – whether in the UAS or elsewhere – whose work supports research, teaching and scholarship. Nominations may be submitted by anyone working in the University.
Nominations may be for individuals and teams, and must be made against one (or more) of the following categories:
- We deliver an effective and high-quality service,
- We collaborate and work in partnership,
- We are open, responsive and innovative,
- We respect others and value diversity.
Individuals are welcome to submit more than one nomination but please note that separate nominations forms must be used for each nomination.
The nominations will be judged by a Nominations Review Committee. The Committee expects to make eight awards, comprising an individual and a team award for each category. However, the Committee may make further awards if it considers additional cases are particularly deserving.

Nominations for this year’s awards must be made online and be submitted by 5pm on 3 November 2017. To access the online nomination form, please go to:

After the closing date, the Nominations Review Committee will draw up a shortlist of individuals and teams. The recipients of the awards will be announced at a celebratory awards event which will be held in December (the details will be circulated shortly).
