Sir Robert Rede's Lecture

The Rede Lecture is the University of Cambridge's oldest and most prestigious special appointment and was founded by the Chief Justice to Henry VII and Henry VIII, Sir Robert Rede.

Dr Jane Goodall PhD, DBE, of Newnham College, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, will speak on Reasons for Hope, at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 June 2019 in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick site. It will be open to members of the University community (staff, students and alumni) and others who are interested, but those wishing to attend are asked to register at https://www.alumni.cam.ac.uk/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=2472&cid=0

Dr Goodall is also due to be admitted to the Degree of Doctor of Science, honoris causa at the Congregation on Wednesday 19 June, see:
