Department of Earth Sciences

The Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, the oldest of the University of Cambridge museums, has appointed its first full-time director.

The University of Cambridge's Department of Earth Sciences is developing an innovative approach to understanding the physical processes which generate destructive earthquakes and tsunamis.

Nine members of the University have been recognised as part of an initiative to raise awareness of the spectrum of roles that contribute to science.
