For staff

Work will begin on an improved cycle route between Hills Road and Addenbrooke’s Hospital next month.

The route - pictured below - will feature a raised path to separate bicycles from other vehicles, a new bus stop layout so cyclists can pass stationary buses on the inside and additional space for pedestrians to cross at the traffic lights between Long Road and Hills Road.

A drop-in event has been organised for members of the public to see plans of the improvements and speak to staff from Cambridgeshire County Council, at St John the Evangelist’s Church, Hills Road, on Thursday 26 January from 5.30pm - 7.30pm.

The development - which begins at the end of February - is part of a wider scheme of transport improvements being made throughout the city as part of the Greater Cambridgeshire City Deal.

Further details of the plans can be found on the City Deal website.
